What Client's Say?
Natasha JVerified Nice facilities This hotel is definitely value for money. Great location for the beach, which is absolutely beautiful. The owner is friendly, could hardly speak English but helped us in a situation. The rooms by the pool are amazing for the price with a jacuzzi bath and pool just outside your room for about £22. Enjoyable but short stay. Brett PVerified Nice stay We spent two nights here at the end of our 2.5 week stay so that we could be close to the airport for our departure. Check in was easy ( we had booked via bookings.com), except that the Man at the desk did not speak or understand a single word of english. There was a deposit required ($1000 bht for our pool villa) that was not mentioned on the bookings.com site. It did not pose a problem for us, but I can imagine it being an issue for others - I believe the fault here lays with bookings.com NOT the hotel. The pool villas were at the rear of the property, involving a walk up a relatively steep driveway as well as a large set of stairs, which we were led to by the Man at the desk (he even carried our bags). He opened the door of room 3103 and led us into a very clean and open plan villa. With entry to the bathroom on the left, we found very stylish décor with a defined shower space, clean toilet & vanity and a decent size spa bath. There were also French doors you could close for privacy. On the right upon entry there was more than ample sized wardrobe space, also containing a small safe (would hold passports, wallet / purse, mobile phone and some documents). Further ahead on the right there was a fridge (with free bottles of water replaced daily)and tea/coffee facilities, including two glasses, two plates and basic cutlery. Considering the size of the fridge, we found the option of a microwave would have been useful. The room opened up with a long cement bench along the right side of the room, ending with a cushioned space for seating. The bed was on the left side, being of decent size and reasonable comfortable for Thai standards. The bed linen was nice and clean. One side had a bedside lamp, the other a small bedside table with a desk and chair next to it (which had a lamp of it's own). Big glass sliding doors opened up to our private deck with a large daybed, a bench-style table, a table & two chairs, and a towel rack. The pool is right there and reasonably clean (could have been better but we have seen a lot worse). Outside our room was the spa end of the pool, so no ladder to climb in and or out (my partner noted that all the other villas had ladders, but none were attached properly and were extremely unsafe). The spa is on a timer so you push the button and it runs for about 15 minutes. It was a good thing we were not in peak season though, as I can only imagine what it would be like with all the villas booked and everyone wanting to sit in the spa area. On the far side of the pool there are deck chairs, with sun umbrellas available. Wifi was good and only dropped out once. The room has a flatscreen tv, with a movie channel that did not work, and out of all the TV channels only one (news) was in English. It did however have a youtube app so were able to enjoy some questionable b grade movies. We did note that the only rubbish bin was in the bathroom and it was very small. The hotel does have a bar and restaurant, but we never saw either one open. It was very disappointing. Checkout was a quick and simple process. We showed proof of our deposit and the 1000 bht was returned to us immediately. The main thing letting this place down is that it is situated at the top of a hill, meaning a 4-5 min walk to the main street for shops & restaurants Now this doesn't sound too awful, but with the sun blazing and the humidity of Thailand the walk wears thin pretty quickly. There is also no direct access to the beach. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return - hopefully next time the bar & restaurant may be open. MildayilVerified Things that make you go hmmmm This hotel is located in a very quiet part of Samui. The beach close by was not our favorite as there are tons of boats parked in the bay dumping their toilet trash.. as we were enjoying a quiet dip, 3 fuzzy orange tubes floated by us in the current. That ended that. Alas, this is about the hotel.. this place is run by a very nice family and their 2 dogs. By the time you visit they may be down to one dog as the elder is probably the oldest animal I have ever seen. The young boy of the family speaks the best English.. then the mom.. and the dad, well, he is the handy man. This family works hard at maintaining the hotel and will do everything possible please you. The hotel is very very clean.. spotless. The craftsmanship of the building was not the best.. small things breaking .. bed platform made of weak veneer .. floors made of weak wood.. it's a work in progress and I am convinced this family will get it all sorted out. The price was very cheap which makes up for the querks of the building.. everything looks amazing.. huge room and bathroom.. large balcony.. excellent pool. Makes for great photos. The drawbacks were that the family closes reception around 9:00.. the wifi was terrible. Actually, my laptop was able to get excellent wifi, but our Android phones were unable to even see the good channels which made for a very frustrating time keeping up with news, Facebook and such... Because of the language barrier we did not bother bringing it up to them.. how to explain? All in all , aside from the wifi, this place was a perfect quiet Homebase to search the island from.. get a scooter from the pier and be independent! ccasa2182Verified Très sympa Accueil chaleureux, un peu excentre mais il y a quand même des restaurants et salons de massage à proximité. Très bon rapport qualité prix Veronika LVerified Best hotel in Samui! Beautiful modern, cozy, clean rooms, everyday very nice cleaned by staff, bed very comfortable, every day they give us bottled water, nice swimming pool with beautiful outdoor, staff very friendly. We stay there for 1 night, but after this we stay 4 nights.
